Gamification & interactive technologies


Many learning theories support the need to design interactive activities for learners to engage, motivate and support learning transfer.  While designing interactive games is not new, the term gamification is a popular trend, where game mechanics are used to “gamify” content in order to enhance the level of engagement through problem-solving and rewards.

An interesting training example is shared on the Educause website, “A Jedi Story: Gamification at Work”, by Chas Grundy and Matthew Belskie.
